The hotel is in a convenient location right in the heart of Devonport, just a stone's throw from the ferry terminal and surrounded by shops, restaurants, and parks. The rooms are in need of a serious update, with torn curtains and peeling paint as some downsides. The breakfast, although sustaining, lacks variety and modern touches that new guests might expect.

The hotel has a fantastic location just across from the ferry wharf, making it ideal for accessibility by ferry to the CBD and islands. The rooms are comfortable but could use a bit of a face-lift. The restaurant offers delicious food, although some noise from the fan outside the window can be bothersome.
